I’ve had a few emails from people wanting to know why I’ve not put the film up yet. Well basically as you know in the film I interview 10 people I thought I was in love with.

So for this particular interview my contributor was an ex of mine from many years previous.

Now, you must understand that all my contributors knew nothing about what they were being interviewed about. All they knew is that I was going to interview them. This was intentional, to get an authentic reaction from them. My ex who has also been a very close friend for many years had been out of the country for several months. He got off the plane and came directly to meet me at my workplace. We headed straight to mine and I did the interview with him.

It was one of the most difficult interviews I did. A lot of stuff came up that we hadn’t discussed before and there we were talking about them, him on camera, me probing him with a desk lamp glaring in his face, I’m sure we have both had better Saturday nights.

Not long after that we fell out. A few very unpleasant emails were exchanged. He then wanted to be taken out of the film. Now so far the film has been seen by a few of my friends (there is some overlap here over the past 8 years we have shared a lot of friends), the tutors at the National Film and Television School and the 10×10 screening group. That’s all fine. But its now time to release the beast and let the film go public.

He and I are in the process of making peace. He hasn’t seen the film yet and it won’t go up on this site or be screened anywhere until he has and is cool with it. In the meantime I’m quite looking forward to having one of my best mates back.

This is the situation at present. I am currently sitting in the IMAX cinema selling tickets for the the London Film Festival dosed up to my eyes with prescription drugs because I’m so Ill. I, however, cannot take anymore time off work because I can’t afford it.

Why can’t you afford to take time off work when you are so sick, Isis? Well because I have to raise £15,000 by the end of the year so I can go to Film School.

Yes folks, I somehow managed to bag myself a place at the National Film and Television School to study Documentary Directing.

This is a big deal, for little old me, they only take 8 students a year and it is one of the best schools in the world for this type of teaching. Graduates from this course include Nick Broomfield.

So far, through making myself homeless and sleeping on the sofas and in spare rooms of my totally amazing freinds for free, as well as working four jobs and running around like a nutter, I’ve managed to save £1,500 since July.

Only £13,500 to go then and less than three months to do it…
